Diseases: Stds that are active can be transmitted, untreated TB could be transmitted, cold virus can be transmitted. As you can see there is a long list so please be more specific in your concern;any particular disease?

Yes: Many diseases can be transmitted by the oral cavity including the bacteria involved with gum disease and in the case of newborns the bacteria involved with tooth decay. Even those who are coughing near to you could be a risk of transmission. Your concern is valid.
