Take precautions: Usually(if I am correct on this) it is used to describe the potential in a 'toxic'/environmental exposure situation...The "limit" is the threshhold level one needs to reach before health risks occurs.

Exposure limitation : If I understand your question correctly, this means that a person is limited to how much he is allowed to be exposed to something while working. Some common restrictions might be a limit on exposure to hot or cold work environments, dust, fumes and the like
