Monocryl absorable: Vaginoplasty excision is closed with 2:0 monocryl sutures in the main floor of the vagina. A 2:0 monocryl with a ur-6 needle is used to tighten the muscle sling. The perineal incision is closed with a 5:0 monocryl and a 5:0 fast absorbing gut suture. All of these vaginoplastysutures are dissolvable.

Monocryl & Vicryl: I use vicryl 2-0 for fascia and muscle, 3-0 for vaginal mucosa and reaproximation of perineal body. 4-0 monocryl for subcuticular closure of perineal body skin.
