Pyelonephritis?: Kidney stones and/or infection could cause your symptom of right costovertebral angle tenderness. Other possibilities: herpes zoster, right lower lobe pneumonia, gallstones, cholecystitis, biliary colic, muscle sprain, peritoneal irritation from leaking corpus luteum cyst, appendicitis or ectopic pregnancy. In any case, see your obstetrician-gynecologist asap to get to the bottom of this. Folate!
