Cycle Day#14: The first day of your period is counted as cycle day #1. Most women "ovulate" around cycle day#14. Around that time you might notice: 1. A change in cervical mucus discharge 2. A small amount of pain on one side 3. A surge in a hormone lh detectable using an ovulation detection kit. Consider intercourse beginning day#10 and every other day! good luck!

Clarification: In response to the other doctor's response, i did not say 14 days before your next period. I said 14 days after the start of your next period. Obviously this is more confusing if your cycles are regular, but given that this was not your question, i assumed that you have some knowledge of when your last cycle began.
