Positive screen: Given that you are 19 weeks, the test that you are most likely talking about is the AFP test usually done around 16 weeks. Remember that these tests are "screens" and there are a high number of false-positives. Here is what needs to happen: 1. Do not panic or assume the worst 2. You need a targeted ultrasound to evaluate fetal anatomy 3. Ask for a genetics consult to explain the results.
