Inflammed cartilage: Relapsing polychondritis (rpc) is an inflammatory condition where your cartilage, for reasons that remain unclear, are targeted by your immune system and become inflamed. Nose, ears, airways, eyes, and joints are the most typically affected organs. Inflamed ears is the most common symptom. Rpc is important to diagnose, since it is associated with other autoimmune diseases and myelodysplasia.
