What is hair transplantation exactly?

Hair transfer: A hair transplant involves removing the hair follicles from strands of hair that exist on your head, to balding areas without hair. It is often done one or two strands at a time. This is actually an autotransplant, meaning the hair tissue is from the same donor and host. There is no rejection, and no immunosuppressive drugs are needed.

Hair relocation: Hair transplantation involves taking hair from a "donor" area which is usually an area with healthy, abundant hair and transplanting the hair follicles (hair "seeds" so to speak) to areas of hair loss.
