How can i ease intense neck and shoulder pain?

Try simple things: I would try tylenol (acetaminophen) and anti-inflammatory medications (eg ibuprofen, aleve, etc) as well as modalities (e.g. Ice and heat). I would try heat first. It might be postural, especially if you sit at a computer/desk all day. Try paying attention to your posture. If it does not improve in 1-2 weeks, see your doctor.

Ice application: Use tylenol (acetaminophen) and alternate applications of ice and warm compresses. Consult an orthopedist if things don't improve. You may either need a muscle relaxant or some physical therapy.
