Possibly: Steroids tend to stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system (pns). The pns then makes your pancreas secrete insulin. Children tend to have very sensative pns (croup, asthma, allergies, hives, congestion, vomiting....)therefore it is possible that steroids can decrese blood sugar in children. Adults usually have less reactive pns and the steroids will tend to raise sugar in adults.
