Muscle pain: Jaw muscle pain is the most common cause of jaw and ear pain. Other causes include inflammation of the jaw joint/s, headache disorders, salivary gland disease, and ear infections. Some medical illnesses can also exhibit jaw and ear pain. Try warm compresses over the jaws, antylenol or advil (ibuprofen). Consult an orofacial pain dentist if the pain has been on going for more than few weeks.

Many things: It could be ear related or jaw related and within those categories are many possibilities. It is best to see an orofacial pain specialist for the jaw pain or a physician to rule out ear related pain.

Many: Any disorder of the ear or jaw (infection, trauma, tumor, etc) can cause pain in these areas. Your other symptoms would point toward your diagnosis.
