Hyper : Prednisone already makes many people feel "bouncy". Throw in a stimulant and you may not feel well at all. You may also get indigestion or stomach pain. Prednisone is an anti inflammatory medication and energy drinks often contain lots of caffeine. The combination may be too much for your stomach, too.

Low=low: You need a normal blood glucose to have energy! if your blood glucose gets too low, you will feel fatigued, shaky, and sometimes nauseated and confused. If you've ever done aerobic exercise without eating enough, and you've had the feeling of "hitting the wall"... That's low blood glucose!

What type of vitamins and exercise can my daughter use to increase her energy in basketball?

Dr. Joseph Hermann

Exercise: Vitamins won't help unless she has a certain deficiency, although a children's multivitamin won't hurt. Proper exercise, a healthy diet, avoidance of stress (balance in her life), and about 9 hours of sleep per night are all necessary to promote energy. There's nothing magic about it so don't look for an easy fix.

Depending on where you live, many are deficient in vitamin D and some will feel more energy with a supplement. If she does not eat fish omega 3 oil, a good quality supplement is important. Also, many will have more energy with a good quality B complex. Be sure to get products that are independently tested for heavy metals and other contaminants. Stretching, such as with yoga or tai chi help also.
