Caution: Surgery can help but approach it with caution. If the pain is clearly defined and is clearly arising from some abnormal structure (bone, nerve, etc.) that is fixable by surgery, then yes. If it is chronic pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, or "pain all over"' then no.
