Cancer: Depends on what type of cancer it is. Has it spread from some other place? If so then the prognosis is very bad. If it is a myxoma then surgery is needed.

Heart CA is rare: Heart cancers are rare, cancers develop in tissues that grow and multiply , one reason cancers rarely develop in heart, from connective tissues myxomas can develop . It is possible to place a mechanical heart till cadaver heart donor is available , i don't know it was ever done.
