Many women do so...: Tampon use should affect your breast feeding. It is a risk for a serious infection called 'toxic-shock-syndrome" as some forget to change to tampon causing retained/growing bacteria infection which can spread to the blood stream resulting in shock. So, you can use tampon but make sure you change it frequently and don't forget to remove the last one when not needed. Congrats on new baby. Good luck.

No problem: Breastfeeding while breastfeeding is fine. As another doctor clearly stated, my only concern would be if you we're to develop toxic shock syndrome, which has been associated with not changing tampons frequently enough and the subsequent development of an overwhelming infection.
