Pill side effect: When you switched birth control pills, it is possible that you had what is known as "breakthrough bleeding." that is, some bleeding at a time other than when you usually have your period. This is a common side effect of the pill, and is not dangerous. If it continues and is bothersome, you can make another appointment with your doctor.
