Meralgia: Perhaps the lat fem cut nerve of the thigh has been irritated. This is termed meralgia paresthetica, an irritating numbness. Alternatively, might consider referred hip pain, a localized thrombophlebitis, or even a deep thigh bruise. Less likely referred problem from lower back at l2-3 level.
