Im 51 yrs old and i have noticed that when i am sitting i rock side to side. i don't remember doing that when i was younger. i just couldnt stay in one spot to long and still can't unless im doing something...why do i rock like that?

Habit: Usually rocking is a habit...Once in a while it can be a biochemical imbalance in the brain that is either the body trunk's equivalent to a tremor in the arm or even a 'tic'...Which makes us feel 'good' to do and hard to stop ourselves from doing. Also even rarer would be a problem in the coordination center of the brain...Cerebellum.
