A member asked:

If i was diagnosed with celiac at age 13 can it cause me to be infertile at age 18?

There are relations: Over the last 10 years, several studies have examined the link between celiac disease and infertility and found that women suffering from unexplained infertility may have clinically silent celiac disease. There more studies and research done on this subject at the present in italy. The same picture also present in men.

?: Do you mean not have periods? Then yes (which could be iron or weight related, as examples), but is potentially reversible. But if you mean premature menopause, that is not something I can find any report of, though people with celiac are higher risk for other autoimmune conditions (so one of those could cause it).
