A member asked:

Does a borderline positive ttg exist-my daughter is 7 and her ttg is 23. we are in canada where the ttg range is under 20.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IgA level?: Without knowing if this is a ttg IgA antibody and if her IgA levels are normal, hard to know what to make of this. If IgA is normal and this is a ttg IgA antibody, then it's mildly positive and suggests risk for celiac sprue. She may need to see a GI doctor particularly if there's family history of celiac or she's had growth problems or other symtpoms. Cs can only be diagnosed by biopsy.
