Do i need to switch toothpastes during my pregnancy due to the sodium saccharin content?

Category C drug: Saccharin when used as a sweetener on a regular basis in pregnancy is classified as a category c drug. This means no human problems during fetal exposure are known but some animal studies are suggestive. When used with tooth paste the exposure is so small, unless you swallow the material, that any possible risk is minimized.

No.: If you are not swallowing your toothpaste, there is no need to change habits, unless your dentist has a specific recommendation.
