A member asked:

What is the effect of vulvar biopsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Result of biopsy : More important than the biopsy per se. Biopsy involves removing part of the lesion on the vulva so that it may be examined by a pathologist to determine the nature of the disease, usually to rule in or rule out cancer. The amount of tissue removed is not likely to leave any lasting mark. If your doctor has suggested a biopsy, please follow her/his advice.
