Increased heart rate: Exercise is cardiovascular (aerobic) if you raise and elevate your heart rate for an extended period of time. Preferably you would like to elevate your pulse to 65-85% of your max hr. Max hr= 220- age. So for example if you are 30yo your max hr = 190 BPM and you would want to elevate your heart rate to at least 125 to 162 to maintain cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise.
