A member asked:

How does your cardiovascular system respond to exercise?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exercise : The first response to exercise is to increase heart rate and then blood pressure. This is the followed by several physiologic responses such as shunting blood to the muscles and the use of both Amino Acids from proteins and fats for production of energy. There are other long term changes that take place also.
