May decrease effect: Any medication while taking the birh control pill may decrease the effectiveness in prevening pregnany so back up contraception is advised.

Little or no risk: Contrary to popular belief and previous advice, antibiotics do not interfere with hormonal contraceptives (birth control pills, implants, medicated IUDs, etc) -- with the occasional exception of rifampin, a fairly uncommonly used antibiotic for tuberculosis, certain staph infections, and a few others.
