Tests for allergy!: Scratch tests are used for detecting allergens for a particular patient. When we say that you are allergic to penicillin, we mean that your immune system makes an antibody called ige antibody against penicillin, which can result in a reaction. When we do a scratch test, we apply the possible allergens on the skin with a scratch. If you are allergic to that item, it will show a local itchy reaction.
