What is meant by a dissecting brain injury?

?arterial dissection: Do you wish to know about a dissection of the carotid or vertebral arteries? This is the consequence of a forceful impact or stretch causing the interior of the vessel wall to tear. At the injury site, a blood clot could form and cause a secondary stroke downstream. (i do not know the term dissecting brain injury, but do know about brain "dissection" in medical school courses).
