A member asked:

Can the government demand i have living will?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: A living will is a document drawn up to guide others in your health care preferences. It designates a proxy or someone who will make decisions for your care if you can't and lets others know your preferences for end of life care, artificial nutrition, resuscitation efforts amongst others. It can be changed by you it unfortunately is often not followed by surrogates when the time comes to use it.
