NSAIDs: There are many different types of "arthritis". The most common kind is osteoarthritis. The most commonly prescribed medication for osteoarthritis is a class called the non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (nsaids) and includes ibuprofen, naproxen, meloxicam, piroxicam, diclofenac etc.
