Orthopedics: Orthopedics would probably be the most helpful. Primary care and physiatry could also be very helpful.

Osteoarthritis (OA)?: Assuming it is advanced oa, routine physical therapy will not help but an ambulation/gait specialist might help determine if you are using the knee, ankle, foot to your best advantage on the bad hip side. Cane may help. Medications have limited potential. Ct scan guided cortisone injections into the hip may help temporarily. Last resort would be hip resurfacing (if appropriate) or hip replacement.

See your doctor: You could have a host of issues that could cause your knee pain, could be bursitis, tendonitis, arthritis, ligament issues, meniscal injury, sciatica etc. So you may want to see an orthopedic pain specialist that can tell you what is going and help you with the latest treatments or exercise therapies available. You may want to consider stem cell therapy as well. Regenexx.Com
