A member asked:

Is it ok to weight lift if you have arthritis or will doing so just make it worse?

Probably yes: Strong research endorses vigorous exercise, even weight training, in arthritis. This would be true for rheumatoid as well as osteoarthritis. Exercise helps maintain and improve range of motion, and strengthens the soft tissues which support joints. Weight loss and mood elevation can also ensue. Of course, before undertaking a new exercise program, it should be cleared by a doctor who knows you.

Work out: Any workout is better then no workout if you are sensible about it. If its RA then it would not be a great idea.
