Rx: Benzoyl peroxide over the counter is cheap and works pretty well; i add topical clindmycin next because it's cheap and usually works great. If there's a lot of blackheads, the more pricey retinoic acid derivatives can come 3rd; failing this, a systemic antibiotic or even a dermatologist's big guns. The oral contraceptive pill can end acne in a woman who can and wants to take it.
