Surgery/chemo/radiat: There're treatment regimens available for treating hepatocellular-carcinoma, but no guarantee. The outcome often depends on the stage at diagnosis as well as the overall health of the individual. If the hcc mass is resectable, surgery can be done to debulk/remove it and follow with chemo and/or radiation. Consult your doc/oncologist for evaluation/treatment that is best for you. Good luck.

Its complicated: Surgical resection or transplant are the first line treatment for hcc. If not resectable or outside of milan for transplant, sorafenib is the only available chemotherapy agent. Local regional cancer therapies for non-operative hcc are the standard of care. Rfa, yttrium-90, chemoembolization, and drug-eluting beads may be options. A multidisciplinary cancer team is the best route.

Many Options: There are multiple treatment options for HCC that are selected in a multidisciplinary approach based on staging & therapy stratification. Most patients are candidates for minimally invasive imaging guided loco-regional therapies. Local ablation for early stage tumors is an excellent alternative to surgical resection with lower complication rates, similar overall survival & disease-free survival.
