No: Unless you treat yourself poorly- although I am sure you feel as if it hurts badly that you want one! avoid foods that will be high in uric acid- especially any foods with high fructose corn syrup.

No: No, gout is usually a self limiting problem over 10 days. It is painful but does not constrict the blood vessels.

No: Gout does not result in amputation in itself. Something else would have to be going on (most commonly infection).
