Rightly so: Try to get him to take small sips of water or a rehydration solution about every 15 minutes. If he has a fever over 101.5, seems to have a lot of abdominal pain and tenderness, or stops urinating or crying tears, take him to be evaluated. You need to watch for dehydration (not peeing or crying tears) and also be alert for a possible serious cause of his symptoms that might require surgery.
