Infants have more...: Infants have more cuteness than adults, too. Some things are just the way they are, for no particular reason. The blood's WBC count varies a lot from person to person, but the average count does drop from about 11 in infants, to 9 in kindergarteners, to 8 in middle schoolers, to 7.4 in college students.

Because..: ....Infants are new. Everything they are exposed to causes a reaction from their new immune systems. As babies are exposed more, and over time, immunity is developed as the body learns to deal with different threats.
