Depends: I'm not sure what a sun fungus is. An allergy to the sun can cause an itchy red rash but it usually happens each time after the first time once you have the allergy . If you can't sleep at night you can take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 2 at bedtime and it should help the itching and you should sleep.
