Capsaicin: Lidocaine cream applied to the area of pain could provide relief as could capsaicin cream- but be careful, it could burn a bit.

Tgn: For some people, topical anesthetic s like Lidocaine do work. Obviously not everyone. Safe enough to try if your doctor recommends it.

Wrong med: Topamax (topiramate) is not e first choice for trigeminal neuralgia. Carbamazepine or Oxcarbazepine are more likely to work.
