Dry socket: Sounds like you developed a dry socket. Very uncomfortable but easily treated by your dentist. Make an appointment to see him.

Healing : It is normal to have bad smell and taste after an extraction due to the bleeding and healing. Usually the odor/taste resolves after one week. If it has been longer than one week, have your dentist examine your mouth to make sure you do not have a post-operative infection. If you have infection, you may need antibiotics.
