Possibly: Chromium deficiency has been associated with Insulin resistance, but a well balanced diet will usually have the needed chromium to avoid this problem.

May be, but hardly: Any one is deficient in chromium. While chromium does influence Insulin resistance, any body eating anywhere near a normal diet is not likely to be deficient. See this site for more information. http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/chromium-healthprofessional/.

Yes: Chromium picolinate has been shown to help reduce Insulin resistance. Everyone is different however and it may or may not work for you. Here's a link to one citation discussing the use of chromium for the reduction of Insulin resistance: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmed/15208835.
