Salty Taste of Skin: Skin tastes salty because sweat contains salt. If you have been sweating more than usual, this will give your skin more of a salty taste. It is not abnormal for your skin to taste this way. If you have been experiencing heat intolerance or sweating more than usual, this can indicate hyperthyroidism or other hormonal imbalances. I would have your doctor check your thyroid level.
