Fluids: In general the best advice would be to continue to drink fluids. It is still important to get basic labs to look at the body salts (sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium). If the salts are out of portion, certain serious abnormalities can take place. Generally oral fluid hydration is adequate, but sometimes IV fluids are needed.
