Many possibilities: There are so many possibilities here that i really cannot help with a diagnosis but what i would suggest is a good physical examination by a musculoskeletal speclalist. This would either be an orthopedist or a physiatrist (specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation). Probably some of the pain is coming from the knee but there are other potential sites as well.

Possibly low back?: Assuming you have had your hip replacement wvaluated and that it is not worn or loose, i think you may have a radicular problem from your lumbar spine. Pain from the buttock down the back of the leg is commonly from lumbar spine disease. I think you should have a spine evaluation, as a knee replacement may only help some of your symptoms.
