Acid burn: The emesis from the stomach has a strong acid (hydrochloric acid) in it. This acid may have chemically burned the roof of your mouth. This should subside by itself in a matter of days. Rinsing with a basic solution such as bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) may help. This is what happens with high reflux of acid from the stomach, commonly called gerd or lpr.
