Need both: Not sure what you are referring to regarding perfusion being more important than ventilation. In regards to a lung perfusion ventilation scan, a mismatch between perfusion and ventilation is abnormal and can suggest pulmonary disease. Ventilation delivers oxygen to the blood via the lungs, then perfusion (blood) delivers the oxygen to the body, so both are important.
