What are the best medications to relieve menstrual pain?

NSAIDS: Various forms of Ibuprofen or nonsteroidal antiinflammatories are good first line medication. Some women need to be on birth control pills to control the pain. You should see a gynecologist. You may need a special ultrasound called a sonohysterogram to see if you have polyps or fibroids causing your pain.
