In 400 words?: This sounds like homework. This is simple mendelian genetics, the old 1:2:1 ratio of outcomes if two carriers mate. Sickle cell anemia: It is just impossible to explain sickle cell anemia in 400 words. It is a genetic blood disorder that is inherited from the parents. The disorder is due to point mutation of the b-globin chain of the hemoglobin -that makes the red blood cells more sensitive and can make them sickling towards exposure of dfferent eg. Infection, dehydration etc.It may lead to acute and chronic complication & death.
