Warm compress: Most small chalazia resolve without intervention. Larger ones may be treated with warm compresses for 15 minutes, up to four times daily. Most clear spontaneously in weeks to months on their own. If you have symptoms from a chalazion that will not go away, you can be referred to an eye doctor for incision and curettage or direct injection of glucocorticoids.

Warm compress: Warm compresses can help early on, otherwise an antibiotic/steroid ointment (dr prescription required) will help. Finally, they can be excised if all else fails.

Heat and/or surgery: Discuss this with your ophthalmolgist. Some chalazia will absorb with application of heat. Others will only respond to surgical excision which can be done as a minor procedure in most ophthalmology offices.
