What medication is used for viral conjunctivitis treatment?

None: It is viral and will resolve on its own.

Nothing prescription: Since this condition is viral, antibiotic eye drops will not help (they would if the condition was bacterial in origin). Anti-histamine drops can help a little with the itch (these are both over-the-counter and prescription). Artificial tears (wetting drops) will help soothe the irritated eyes if administered frequently. Cool compresses will help with irritation and swelling. Hand washing!
