No: Dupuytren's is not curable but it is treatable. These is a new medication out called xiaflex (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) which is an injection. I have had very good results treating the contractures resulting from dupuytren's. I has almost eliminated the need for surgery.

No, but treatable!: Dupuytren's contracture is a fibroproliferative disease of the fibrous tissue in the hand. It may also affect the feet and/or penis. There us no cure but there are treatments for the physical manifestations of the disease. Cords resulting contractures of the fingers can be treated with surgery to remove, injections to dissolve or needles to break up the diseased tissue. See board certified hand dr.

No: Not curable but definitely treatable. There are a variety of options available (xiaflex (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) injections, needle aponeurotomy, surgery) that can be tailored to your specific needs. Check in with a hand surgeon to find out what is best for you.

Disease is not but: A contracture is a fixed loss of joint motion and this can be made better even to the point of eliminating it completely. Treatments currently involve xiaflex, (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) aponeurotomy/fasciotomy and surgery https://m.Facebook.Com/pages/dupuytrens-disease-new-treatment-updates/147337105335050?Id=147337105335050&_rdr.

No, but treatable.: Dupuytren's contracture is a fibroproliferative disorder with a strong genetic component. The physical manifestations can be treated with open surgery, neddle apponeurotomy, or Collagenase injections. However, done of these treatments deal with in underlying cause of the collagen cords. There is a strong likely hood of recurrence with all treatments. See a board certified orthopaedic hand surgeon.

Dupuytrens info: Dupuytens is a progressive disorder that at this point does not have a cure but has treatments. Traditional treatment observed until contracture was severe and surgery was offered. Some new alternatives include needle aponeurotomy, limited fasciaotomy and xiaflex (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) or collagenase http://www.Handctr.Com/dupuytrens-disease-faq.Html.

Treatments Available: Dupuyten's contracture can be treated with injections, via puncture treatmetnt(needle aponerutomy) or via surgery to excise the disease. The disease is genetic so the disease recurs and needs to be managed.
